Download NOD for Mac
The Mac companion
NOD for X-Plane
One file. The installer puts the X-Plane companion in place for you.
Download the .dmgNOD for X-Plane.dmg · Requires a Mac running X-Plane 12
NOD is two halves: the iPhone app that watches your head, and this small companion that tells X-Plane what to do with it. You need both.
Installing
- Download and open the .dmg on the Mac that runs X-Plane 12.
- Run “Install NOD” and follow the prompts. It finds your X-Plane 12 installation by itself; if it cannot, it asks you to pick the X-Plane 12 folder — the one containing X-Plane.app.
- Quit X-Plane 12 completely, then open it again. Reloading plugins from inside X-Plane does not pick up a newly installed add-on. It has to be a full restart.
- Open NOD on your iPhone. It finds your Mac on its own — there is nothing to type in.
- Sit the way you fly, look straight ahead and press
CENTER.
You also need the iPhone app
NOD for iPhone is on the App Store. The first ten minutes of successful tracking are free, so you can confirm the whole chain works on your own equipment before buying anything.
Requirements
- A Mac running X-Plane 12
- An iPhone that supports face tracking
- Both on the same local network
Trouble installing?
The support page covers the common cases — including the one that catches nearly everyone, which is forgetting to fully restart X-Plane after installing.
